Scholastic Reading Counts
Scholastic Reading Counts! is an independent reading incentive program for Grades K–12 which combines reading practice and software-based reading assessment.
Instructionally flexible, mastery focused, and professionally written, SRC! is the program PROVEN to develop reading skills, help raise test scores, and motivate students to achieve reading success.

Start with any great book found in your child’s personal library, school library, or public library.Although most books have a corresponding Reading Counts! Quiz, you can search the most updated list of Reading Counts! Books at the following website: http://src.scholastic.com/bookexpert/

Students read the book and log on to Reading Counts to take the corresponding quiz. Students continue to read and earn points through their quizzes.
PRIZE INFORMATION
Cool prizes (such as coupons for free pizzas and Atlanta Hawks tickets) will be distributed to the highest point earners in all academies throughout the school year.
All Elementary Academy students who meet their reading goal by March 1, 2016 will receive a free ticket to 6 flags to use over the summer of 2016. Tickets will be distributed the last week of school.
At the end of the school year, the highest point earners in grades 3rd -8th will earn an overnight trip to Camp Twin Lakes in May 2016 (exact dates to be determined).
