The Drew PTA in partnership with Drew Charter School Administration is pleased to offer Babysitter Training & Pediatric CPR Certification again this year for Drew Students! This Red Cross certified instructor led course is geared towards 11-15 year olds and will take place at the Drew Campus over two days, Saturday & Sunday March 9-10, 2024. LOOKING FOR BABYSITTERS?

Directory of Certified Babysitters Available!

 

PTA members are eligible to receive a directory of Drew students who have completed the certification course and are available for babysitting! Our first group of students completed the course in July 2023 and are pediatric CPR certified for two years.

To receive a copy of the directory please email ptadrewfamilyresources@gmail.com.  Not current with your membership dues? Simply renew your PTA membership here for only $10 and email your receipt to ptadrewfamilyresources@gmail.com.

About the course:

Red Cross instructors will lead students in 12 hours of live class instruction which will cover basic babysitting skills, infant CPR, and personal safety.  Click here to learn more!

 

What to expect:

• Students will receive a certificate of completion on Sunday indicating two-year certification and access to refresher materials online.  

• Lunch and snacks will be provided

• Drew PTA members and Parent Volunteers will be on-site to provide support and supervision.

About the cost:

We haven't yet finalized the cost per student for the 2024 training, but last year we were able to subsidize over half the cost for each student, plus lunch and the ease of not having to drive to a Red Cross Training Location!  In addition we were able to sponsor a limited number of scholarships.
